报告人简介:

Prof. Dong Zhu received his Ph.D. in 1984 from Tsinghua University, China. He was a Research Fellow of Northwestern University, USA, 1986-1990. Later he joined Aluminum Company of America, 1991-1994, and then Eaton Corporation, 1994-2008. After his retirement from Eaton he established a consulting firm, Tri-Tech Solutions, Inc., USA, doing software development and consulting. In 2011 he joined SANY Heavy Industry as a Deputy General Manager of SANY Transmission Equipment Co. By the end of 2012 he joined Sichuan University as a Professor. He has been a Guest Professor at State Key Laboratory of Tribology, Tsinghua University, since 2000. He is a Fellow of the ASME and the STLE, and currently an Associate Editor of ASME Journal of Tribology and STLE Tribology Transactions. He was the chairman of the STLE Annual Meeting Program Committee in 2013-2014, a member of the ASME Research Committee on Tribology (2003-2012), and the Chairman of the STLE Gears and Gear Lubrication Technical Committee (2005-2007) and Wear Technical Committee (2001-2003). He has won a numerous awards including the Edmond E. Bisson award twice from the STLE for the best written technical contributions in 2003 and 2010.
