报告题目:Cell biology informing disease mechanism and designing novel therapies – potential opportunities for collaboration to test and develop Traditional Chinese therapies? 报告人:Professor Aled Phillips Director of the Institute of Nephrology the School of Medicine in Cardiff University, Wales 时间:2014年10月30日(周四)下午15:00 地点:青山湖校区食品国家重点实验室401报告厅 欢迎广大师生参加! 报告人简介: Aled Phillips graduated from the Welsh National School of Medicine in 1986, having also completed a BsC in Biochemistry during his medical studies. He pursued his training in the field of Nephrology at the renal units of Cardiff and subsequently Kings College Hospital in London. Having being awarded a National Kidney Research Fund Training Fellowship he returned to the Institute of Nephrology in Cardiff. He was subsequently awarded a Wellcome Trust Intermediate Training Fellowship and a GlaxoSmithKline Senior Fellowship which facilitated establishing his research independence. He is currently Professor in Nephrology and Director of the Institute of Nephrology at the School of Medicine in Cardiff University, where he is also Dean of student admissions. He has published over 130 peer reviewed papers in International Journals with work spanning basic cell biological mechanisms of progressive renal injury and clinical studies of both acute and chronic renal failure. He is currently the Clinical Director of the Nephrology service at the University Hospital of Wales, and also the Chair/Clinical lead for the Welsh National Acute Kidney Injury group tasked by Welsh Assembly government, to develop and deliver a National framework for tackling acute kidney injury. |
